Participation in the competition program 
(single artworks)

A single work can be submitted to the competition (competition and exhibition program). The number of single works from the author is unlimited. The winners are determined according to the list of nominations listed in the "Nominations" section

Participation in the award program

A complete collection of works can be submitted for the award program, which demonstrates the author's contribution to his chosen field of art (a program for personal awards/medals).The winners are determined according to the list of nominal medals.

Entry Rules / stages

For the participants of the competition program

Stage 1: The contest Program
The works submitted for the project are evaluated by the Expert Council. Based on the points received, the exposition of the Russian Art Awards is formed in the exhibition halls of Gogol Art. 

Stage 2: exhibition program
The works that have scored the maximum number of points, and which can be presented in person in Moscow at the exhibition, are exhibited in the exhibition halls of the Moscow Center for Contemporary Arts "Gogol-Art". Artworks that have received insufficient points are displayed at the exhibition in the form of photocopies (A3 artbook format).High-scoring artworks that the author cannot present in person at the exhibition are also on display in the form of photocopies.

For participants of the premium program

Stage 1: examination of the submitted portfolios and autobiographies 
The Expert Council examines the received autobiographies and portfolios of the participants of the award program and determines the authors whose achievements in a particular niche are as representative as possible.

Stage 2: announcement of the laureates
On the basis of the decision of the Expert Council, the laureates for nominal awards (medals) are determined The Russian Art Award

For all participants

All project participants are awarded with diplomas in accordance with the points scored and the awards received.

Two ceremonies are held:
1) Awarding the winners of the competition program: April 5, 2026, 16:00

2) Awarding of the winners of the distinguished service awards: April 3, 2026, 6 p.m.

There are two ways to participate

There are two equal forms of participation:
FULL-TIME and IN ABSENTIA

FULL-TIME PARTICIPATION
(original works at the exhibition)

Full-time works are displayed at the exhibition as follows:
1) Original works of the author; 
2) Original giclee; 
The author independently prepares the works for exhibition.

IN ABSENTIA PARTICIPATION
(photocopies of the works at the exhibition)

Correspondence works are displayed at the exhibition as follows:
1) Photocopies in the artbook: the organizing committee prints out the submitted files on paper and places Photocopies on a stretcher or frame at the exhibition in an artbook, A3 formate
2): printing on paper or canvas and decoration in a frame or stretcher

ЗАОЧНОЕ УЧАСТИЕ
(фотокопии произведений на выставке)

Заочные произведения экспонируются на выставке следующим образом:
1) Фотокопии в артбуке: оргкомитет распечатывает присланные файлы на бумаге и размещает на выставке в артбуке, А3 формат
2) Фотокопии на подрамнике или раме: печать на бумаге или холсте и оформление в раму или  подрамник

ОЧНОЕ УЧАСТИЕ
(оригиналы произведений на выставке)

Очные произведения экспонируются на выставке следующим образом:
1) Авторские оригинальные произведения;
2) Авторские жикле (giclee);
Автор самостоятельно подготавливает произведения к экспонированию.

Below are the main excerpts from the Regulations on the Russian Art Prize.

Pre-selection

The author independently determines in which nomination his work will be presented. The Organizing Committee conducts a preview of the works based on the submitted photographic images and may change the nomination or transfer the work from full-time to correspondence. Works registered within the specified time frame, confirmed by the organizing committee and have a paid fee, participate in the competition program.

Limitations

They are not allowed to participate in the project:
a) artworks that violate social norms accepted in the Russian Federation;
 b) political subjects; 
c) artworks that offend religious feelings and personality.
The decision of the Organizing Committee regarding the above exceptions is final and is not subject to discussion.

Technical requirements for photographic materials

The author should pay special attention to the photographic images of his works sent to the project, as the jury evaluates the submissions based on photographs.

The photo images of the contest entries must be at least 200 dpi, at least 1200 pixels on the smaller side and saved in formats.JPEG or . JPG, in RGB mode, file size: from 1 to 20 MB. 

Only brand names and signatures of authorship can be present on the images.

Technical requirements for full-time artworks

Full-time works should be prepared by the author for display on vertical stands. 
All full-time jobs must:
a) have hooks, hinges or grommets for suspension;
b) have a rigid base (passepartout, frame, stretcher, etc.)
It is necessary to pay special attention to the strength of the hinges and grommets that the author provides with his works.
Together with the art object provided for the exhibition, the applicant submits a "Transfer certificate", which will be the basis for the subsequent issuance of competitive works at the end of the exhibition (download in Word, PDF).
At the end of the exhibition, the full-time art objects are returned to the author on the closing day according to this transfer act.

Copyright marks

A signature, seal, or any other identification mark of authorship is allowed anywhere in the photo image. 

Subsequently, the contest images are published with the author's distinctive marks. Inscriptions with the names of art objects on the front are not allowed.

The use of photographic images of artworks and the author's name

Copyright and all other rights remain with the artist. In the case when art objects are submitted to the competition by the author's representative (producer), the responsibility for authorship lies with the applicant. The Organizing Committee has the right to use the name (pseudonym) and photographic images of art objects participating in the competition and exhibition for the purpose of advertising and popularizing International Projects organized by the World Foundation for the Arts, and for non-commercial use as illustrations and publications in the media. All participants understand that any image submitted to the contest can be used by the project for marketing and advertising purposes, including non-commercial publication in any media, such as exhibitions, print and digital media. By participating in the competition, the author (applicant) agrees to include photographs of the author, art objects and labels in the exhibition catalog.

The Organizing Committee is not responsible for art objects and their photographic images provided in violation of the competition rules or for those who violate copyright, since in this case the person applying for participation in the competition program (the applicant) is responsible.

Sale of artworks

The cost of the work is indicated by the author in the label, which is sent along with the confirmation of participation, before the start of the exhibition.

Full-time works (originals, giclees): 
Works submitted for the project can be sold.The commission of the Organizing Committee is 22%. The sale is carried out on the territory of the exhibition.

Correspondence papers, photocopies: 
If clients wish to purchase works submitted in correspondence (photocopies), the author must be able to provide the original work within 10 working days.

Admission of works to the exhibition

1) Full-time work is accepted:
 March 25, 2026, 12:00-18:00): Gogol-Art Center for Contemporary Arts, (Moscow, Gogol Boulevard, 14/p.3).

2) For nonresident authors:
It is possible to send works by courier to the Organizing Committee from March 18 to March 24, 2026 (Organizing Committee address: Moscow, Kievskaya St., 2, 4th floor of the Kievsky Shopping Center, Art Commune Gallery, office of the Eurasian Art Union). 

3) Full-time participants from Moscow and the Moscow region can bring art works to the exhibition in advance: from March 18 to March 24, 2026.The author pays for the storage of the work at the rate of 200 rubles / day / work.Organizing Committee address: Moscow, Kievskaya St., 2, 4th floor of the Kievsky Shopping Center, Art Commune Gallery, Eurasian Art Union office).  

If it is necessary to enter the car for unloading, then it is necessary to inform by phone / telegram / whatsapp +7-925-0223303: the make of the car, the number, the full name of the driver.

Registration of the press and journalists

The Organizing Committee welcomes representatives of the press and the blogosphere, guaranteeing accreditation for the project's events, including private ones, organizing interviews with nominees and star guests, as well as access to exclusive photographic materials and press walls of the ceremony.

Какие программы есть?

The Russian Art Award (artawards.club) was founded in 2021 and since then annually celebrates the best representatives of the art community. 

Each new season of the project is not only a talent showcase, but also a new page in the annals of the award, imprinted in the history of Moscow exhibition halls. 

Our way:

2021: 

The first issue was held at the legendary Moscow House of Artists on Kuznetsky Bridge.

2022/23: 

The second and third seasons hosted guests at the New Tretyakov Gallery.

2024: 

The fourth ceremony took place in the modern Amber Plaza conference hall.

2025: 

The fifth anniversary edition was held in the space of the Moscow Center for Contemporary Arts "Art Commune" on Kievskaya.Today, the award has established 30 medals and 41 nominations. Each award is a symbol of recognition of the author's achievements in following the aesthetic lines of the great masters, whose selfless work expanded the horizons of Russian art and gained recognition in Russia and the world.

The Expert Council of the Russian Art Awards consists of more than 50 leading art industry professionals representing Russia and countries far and near abroad.

We consciously form the jury as the "widest audience" in order to ensure maximum objectivity and versatility of the assessment. Each work comes to the attention of specialists of different profiles, which allows you to see the work as a whole — both as an artistic object and as part of a cultural context.

The Russian Art Awards announces the dates of the sixth edition and a new stage — the Moscow Center for Contemporary Arts "Gogol Art".

From March 27 to April 5, 2026, the project will deploy its work for the first time in the space on Gogol Boulevard. The new venue, located in the historical center of Moscow, will become a meeting place for authors, experts and art connoisseurs.

Key dates of the project:

The deadline for accepting applications (registration of participants) is March 12, 2026

March 27, 2026, 17:00 — Opening ceremony. The start of exhibitions and the work of the project.April 3, 2026, 18:00 — Awarding of the laureates with medals of Merit.
